• Jim Anderson appointed as Coherent CEO as Board Chair & CEO as Dr Vincent D. (Chuck) Mattera Jr retires: Anderson joins Coherent from Lattice Semiconductors, where he was president, CEO & board member (June 2024).
  

• U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) announced up to $6 billion for 33 projects across more than 20 states in emerging industrial decarbonization technologies and manufacturing initiatives. Funds are allocated as part of the In Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act. (March 2024)
  

• Simpson Strong-Tie acquires industry software developer Calculated Structural Designs (CSD): CSD provides software solutions for the engineered wood, engineering, design and building industries (June 2024)
